The world of technology touches nearly every aspect of our daily lives. From the way we experience entertainment and go about our daily routines, to the way we improve human welfare and affect social change. You know this; that's why you want to be among those who shape it.
Over the last 40 years, Full Sail's continuous innovation within the education space has helped to prepare young talent for the technology industries of the present and future. Netflix, Facebook, Tesla, SpaceX, and Amazon are just a few of the companies where our graduates have gone on to work.
Join us for a weeklong career focused virtual TechFest event that includes 5 featuring emerging technology webinars with daily give aways to the participants that join us live!
TechFest will help support the connection between the STEAM related courses and the many career opportunities within the technology fields, including Computer Science, Simulation & Visualization, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Mobile Development and Web Development.

About the Challenges
CHALLENGE 1: 3D Character Design
Students will be challenged to design a model of a new superhero using Tinkercad (https://tinkercad.com). The student’s submission MUST include multiple angles of their 3D design and a backstory on how the design supports the superhero’s abilities.
Specifically, each design should include: a character with three superpowers, clear visual references to superpower, creative use of color.
Students will be required to submit the following through our digital platform: Link to a short video (60 seconds or less in length) that highlights a 360-degree view of their character. Only links from youtube or google drive will be accepted. Description of the application in a paragraph with up to 500 words
Rubric: Projects will be evaluated from a scale from 1-10 regarding the following items:
- Quality of at least 4 angles of the 3D character designed (20%)
- Quality of the color resources used in the character (20%)
- Visibility of the superhero’s abilities in the 3D character (20%)
- Creativity of the superhero presented (20%)
- Originality of the project (20%)

CHALLENGE 2: App Design/Prototype
Students will be challenged to design a rapid prototype for a new mobile application. The student's MVP (Minimum Viable Product) MUST be created utilizing Abode Creative Cloud Express (https://www.adobe.com/express) to showcase the requested UI/UX features of the application.
Specifically, each app design should include: at least five user screens (i.e., splash screen, three app screens, one preference/settings screen), at least two motion graphics animations and a clear showcase of UX concepts (i.e., where, what, how).
Students will be required to submit the following through our digital platform: Link to a short video (60 seconds or less in length) that highlights the five required user screens. Only links from youtube or google drive will be accepted. Description of the application in a paragraph with up to 500 words
Rubric: Projects will be evaluated from a scale from 1-10 regarding the following items:
- Quality of at least 5 user screens (20%)
- Quality of at least 2 motion graphic animations (20%)
- Quality of the user experience suggested (20%)
- Creativity of the app solution (20%)
- Originality of the project (20%)

CHALLENGE 3: Interactive Game Design
Students will be challenged to develop an interactive, text-based game using Twine (https://twinery.org).
This game must include graphic images, choice options, and JavaScript. Specifically, each game design should include: at least five images, a clear depiction of gaming design concepts and at least three alternative endings to complete the game.
Students will be required to submit the following through our digital platform: Twine link Description of the interactive game in a paragraph with up to 500 words
Rubric: Projects will be evaluated from a scale from 1-10 regarding the following items:
- Quality of the 5 images used (20%)
- Quality of the game story (20%)
- Quality of the interaction offered to the user (20%)
- Creativity of the 3 different endings (20%)
- Originality of the project (20%)
